Non-stop violence continues to grip Baltimore less than a month into 2015.

The first incident of violence Friday night was a double shooting in West Baltimore. The shooting left one man critically injured, and another with a non life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. The two men were believed to have been walking in the 1500 block of W. Fayette Street when they were shot around 9:06 p.m.

Block With a Bloody History

The Franklin Square neighborhood is no stranger to violence. In July of 2011 a man was shot and robbed just one block away,.

On the exact same block of last night's shooting, less than two years ago, in August of 2013, 15-year-old Deshaun Jones, aka Lor D'Shaun, an aspiring rapper, was gunned down while sitting on his front porch with friends.

He was killed the day before he was expected to begin his first day of school for the new school year. The incident involved a total of seven people shot. The second most people shot at a single incident in recent history.

At the time, a close friend of Jones' family, Carla White, was across the street when the shooting occurred. She said residents no longer feel safe outside; "You got to be ready to get up and run."

Peculiar to the incident was it's taking place with Baltimore Police present directly adjacent to where it happened. They were sitting in there cars on the very next block. Same street.

Many Baltimore gunmen have shown they are undeterred by the proximity of police presence.

In the past several years, numerous other murders and non-fatal shootings have taken place with police being literal eye witnesses. Yet despite the police presence, most have yielded no arrests, nor suspects, and remain forever unsolved.

Listen to a breaking news audio report recorded live on scene.

Currently the homicide clearance rate for Baltimore is around 45%. A failing grade by any measure. More than half the murders taking place in the city are never, ever solved.

A Delivery Man Is Gunned Down.

The second shooting Friday night happened less than an hour later in East Baltimore.

Just before 10:00 p.m. on the 1600 block of E. 25th Street, a 25 year-old food deliveryman was shot in the chest. The Baltimore Spectator responded to scene to gather information for this report.

With the man being critically wounded, homicide detectives were called to investigate, due to the severity of his injuries. At present he is said to be barely alive, clinging to life as a result of the attack.

The incident joins a long, violent history of food delivery men being attacked, often fatally, in Baltimore City.

Police have stated no known suspects or motive in this case.

MESSAGE TO ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT/INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES

To all those who willfully, deliberately and routinely violate the civil rights of law abiding American Citizens; Yes, you're powerful. Sure, you're everywhere. But this is still America, and the Constitution of the United States Of America still reigns supreme as the law of the land. The Baltimore Spectator will vigorously and aggressively defend against any and all attempts at spying and suppression. Let it be known to all that we are already aware of the regular monitoring and shadowing attempts. There is nothing to hide, but cross the line and there will be hell to pay.

In the end, efforts to impinge upon the freedoms of the people will ultimately fail. Some of us may get taken out in the ongoing battle for true and lasting freedom, but as I've said many times before, and will say till the day I die or get taken out by you goons, THERE ARE MORE OF US, THAN THERE ARE OF YOU.
