UPDATED: 5 Year Old Girl Shot -- CRITICAL CONDITION


At 4:21 PM today, Baltimore Police report that a 5 year old girl was shot on the 300 blk of S. Pulaski St. Early reports indicate the child was shot in the head.

Sources tell the Baltimore Spectator the young girl is currently at Shock Trauma clinging to life after getting shot twice in the head at a relatively close range. Police Commissioner Frederick Bealefeld states he is "confident we will have a suspect identified in this brutal, sensless shooting of a 5 year old girl."

So how's that decline in crime working out anyhow? You know, the one that Commissioner Frederick Bealefeld and the master wizard of spin and misdirection Anthony Guglielmi have done their best to convince us of? Do anyone in Baltimore actually feel safer in proportion to the supposed drop in crime?
