FREEDOM FRIDAY -- Today's Show Will Be One For The Ages
The title of today's upcoming LIVE program is Freedom Friday! It's being specially produced to tell the story of things I'm currently dealing with, and the way I sometimes feel. It's a response to some of the madness I've had to deal with these last few days.
As you probably know, I could easily take to the mic and talk continuously for two, three, even five hours if need be. But today is going to be a little bit different.
Today I'll let the music do the talking for me. This won't be just a music show, but a show of music with a message. For those of you who understand radio, you'll appreciate my value as a producer once you take in the totality of the show now being planned.
People often say I'm arrogant or conceited, but like the Malcolm X quote tweeted earlier, "when you know you're right, your right!"
I sometimes just stand tall on what I believe. A tough concept for others to get sometimes. Especially in a world filled with people who don't know what it is they really believe.
When you're a person filled with conviction and confidence, it's easy for this to be misunderstood, then you find yourself simply labeled as full of himself.
Well I'm gonna go out on a limb at the risk of being labeled again. As I continue to produce today's upcoming show, I honestly believe this one, will be one for the ages.
Not that I expect to be gone anytime soon, but if it turns out even a 10th as good as I hope it will, should it be my last show, I think I'd be mighty pleased.
With hard work, lots of prayers, and faith in God. I fully expect to be around a mighty long time. Producing awesome work, and quality programming.
We'll see.

WARRANTED PERSECUTION: Police Seek Baltimore Spectator
By A.F. James MacArthur Ph.A.L.
In a rare and compelling piece of candid radio, A.F. James MacArthur revealed to his audience, the fact that there was a warrant issued for his arrest.
Though the exact nature and charges behind the warrant were never clarified, MacArthur elaborated on past instances of being held in custody for as long as 40 days, without any formal charges, and having no warrant issued.
In a rambling radio broadcast lasting several hours, MacArthur meandered through various experiences of his decade of living in Baltimore.
From telling the story of being face to face with a hit-man who knocked on the wrong door, before murdering his neighbors next door and his being the only eye witness and able to identify the killer. To MacArthur also repeatedly bemoaned his impassioned, constant pleas for help from various entities in media and the ACLU. He admitted, they've all been utterly in vain.
Isolated And Alone
Broadcasting from an undisclosed location believed to be outside of Baltimore, MacArthur laid it all on the line, baring his very soul on air.
Despite coming right out and stating the existence of a warrant. Even after detailing an incident that could have been an attempted abduction by rogue members of Baltimore Police Department, MacArthur still received reactions of doubt of his authenticity or sincerity on social media site Twitter.
The impassioned plea for help and attention did not appear to fall totally on deaf ears. Dozens of retweets and designated "favorites" of statements issued by MacArthur, could be seen taking place from friends online in different states across the country.
When contacted, MacArthur stated his reason for performing such an unusual broadcast was motivated in part, to get more transparency and force Baltimore Police and others in the criminal justice system to be on their best behavior.
Twitter reaction included several statements of concerns from active members of the Baltimore Police Department.
Unarmed, Not Dangerous
In an ominous message, MacArthur said he was ditching his infamous sidearm, a large frame, Colt "Delta Elite" 10 millimeter semiautomatic pistol. Certain that capture was inevitable, MacArthur stated there was fear he could be killed, and his killing could be staged and called a "justifiable shoot," by police falsely claiming he may have reached for, or drew a weapon.
At this point, MacArthur's exact whereabouts and precise intentions are unclear. During the broadcast on his Baltimore Spectator Radio Network (BSRN), MacArthur said his financial resources were completely cut off. Bank accounts frozen, and PayPal disabled. No mention was made of just how MacArthur was surviving or getting by.
Also mentioned was the fact MacArthur has had no contact with family or friends for nearly a week. By turning off, disabling, and ditching his cell phone, MacArthur said the move was part of numerous layers of evasive maneuvers, taken due to being in fear of his life.
Vague reference was also made to a myriad of electronic wizardry being deployed, enabling MacArthur the ability to broadcast an internet radio program on BSRN, from anywhere in the world and remain undetected.
Demonstration had previously been made, of how location tracking capacity on computers and cellphones were spoofed, to throw of potential pursuers and develop a false trail.
When asked what it would take for MacArthur to turn himself in on the outstanding warrant, MacArthur said; "I want to ensure there's no funny business. I've tangled with these people in the past. They've trampled all over my civil rights before, violated the sanctity of my rights as an American citizen. Quite frankly, I just don't trust them."
MacArthur continued by adding "I need to have assurances that I will be treated fairly and justly. Ordinarily I would have went to the media seeking assistance but I've tried that in the past, and you see what happened.... I was left to rot away in a tiny solitary confinement cell, allowed out for half an hour, once every 24 hours. No one really gave a damn."

A Voice Of Freedom Heard Round The World
The cross cultural, trans-oceanic connection that just took place couldn't be more ironic. While James MacArthur, managing editor of The Baltimore Spectator, and director of MacArthur Media remains in exile "on vacation" -- far removed from the mean streets of Baltimore -- a Dutch journalist, working for a major European newspaper contacted him for an interview.
It is said a prophet is rarely honored in his own country. So..."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
When asked how the interview went, MacArthur responded with the following on The Baltimore Spectator Facebook page:
James MacArthur continues to elude and mystify his haters. |
"Just concluded my interview with a Dutch journalist for a major Netherlands newspaper on my experience in Baltimore.
Was all about crime and grime.
I love how much I'm ignored and marginalized by Baltimore media, but others around the world are beginning to see the value and depth of my work.

The End Is Near -- Newspapers Teeter On Brink Of Extinction
"The truth needs no support." - A.P. [name concealed], served 25 years in prison for murder. From a jailhouse interview with The Baltimore Spectator.
For years now, one man has been sounding the trumpet louder than most, decrying the end is near. Like so many once exciting and groundbreaking developments in communication, the day-of-the-end, of the newspaper is now nearer than ever. Even at the door.
Just like the telegraph -- once seen as one of the greatest innovations in disseminating information -- was eventually replaced by successive technologies, starting with the telephone. The newspaper perhaps should have already been laid to rest, but is being held together by a deceptive facade of non-existent vitality.
Is a person in a vegetative state, on full life support really considered "alive?" It's the same for the newspapers. As revenue continues to bleed, the very lifeblood of the once dominant media oozes away, bringing us ever nearer to an inevitable utter complete collapse.
The writing is literally on the wall, but despite that, like the orchestra playing a sweet serenade on the Titanic, as the mighty vessel continued to take on water, it will be a while before the slowly sinking ship is completely submerged.
At this point, the only hope of survival for crew members is to jump off now while they still can. There's something about sinking ships and the powerful vortex they create as they go down.
Leaping to safety too late can sometimes be futile. One who delays can find themselves being pulled under by a swirling whirlpool to certain death.
It's truly sad to see the demise of a medium that's had such a huge, instrumental role in the great history of our county. The world has been shaped by words written in newspapers.
When it's all over, like we do with departed loved ones, it's certain there'll be gatherings and conversations filled with fond memories of the formerly living.
In the meantime, new media entities, independent reporters and others continue to grow in strength, reach, quality and penetration. In nature, once a vacuum is created, it's empty space is soon filled.
Even in the forest, the old growth eventually has to be cleared, for the new growth to rise. Sometimes they die of old age, sometimes its a brutal fiery death, as the trees are consumed in a raging inferno.
Speaking of trees, you know they make paper from dead ones right? Newspapers.
Newspaper revenues were down in 3Q, for 25th quarter in a row. bit.ly/TkA3p2Anyone following The Baltimore Spectator and managing editor James MacArthur, knows the passion with which he preaches.
