A man was shot multiple times Thursday evening while entering his home on the 2300 block of N. Charles st. Neighbors told the Baltimore Spectator, shortly after the victim parked his car and walked across Charles st., the gunman attacked and opened fire. He was later identified as Merv Douglas.
Many bystanders expressed shock over the incident taking place along such a busy road during rush hour. Details of the incident were first revealed in a live-on-scene podcast by the Baltimore Spectator.
Due to the severity of the injuries, the victim was not expected to survive and the investigation was treated immediately as a homicide. The victim died several hours as a result of massive injuries sustained from multiple gun shots wounds to the head and body.
