Free Ride To Work, Despite Down Economy, Baltimore City's Got Your Back

Want a free ride to work? Well, if you live in certain parts of Baltimore where the average household income tends to be in the upper tier, and the average home price runs on the high side for Baltimore, no worry, the city will help you. Baltimore city is expanding the free water taxi service for commuters. Currently the service runs from Fells Point to Locust Point, but now there are plans to add a stop in Canton. The city intends to keep the service free for as long as possible.

For those afraid of water travel or prone to seasickness, no worry, the city is also rolling out a new bus service called the Charm City Circulator. The free bus will service commuters in three different routes through downtown, offering service every 10 minutes.
