Teen Killed In Jail, Family Sues For $153 Million

Death compared to Emmett Till, the 14-year-old Chicago boy brutally murdered in Southern Mississippi in 1955 for allegedly whistling at a white woman and whose killers were never convicted.

Mother of Prince George’s County teen who was strangled while in solitary confinement on suspicion of killing a police officer has filed a $153.6 million lawsuit against the county and three correctional officers.

Suit claims Ronnie L. White, 19, victim of vigilantism after mistakenly identified as driver of pickup truck that struck and dragged Officer Richard Findley, killing him just over a year ago.

“We have an autopsy that says that Mr. White was killed,” Murphy said, shrugging off suggestions of suicide. “He was killed while he was in the custody of the Prince George’s County correctional officers. What else do we need?”
