Amid Threats, MacArthur Dramatically Increases Security

SPEICIAL REPORT by Baltimore Spectator Staff Photo Journalist Eve V. Where

After receiving numerous unspecified threats, including a recent K9 attack, The Baltimore Spectator's parent company MacArthur International Inc. had to take unprecedented increases in security. Seeking comment from MacArthur International head man, A.F. James MacArthur, the reclusive former intelligence agent turned professional adventurer was able to be reached by phone. From a secure location deep within the inner sanctum of the bunker, MacArthur said; "I enjoy being able to move about and travel freely, but with the way things have gone lately, I just can't take too many chances. You know never know when some fool, or more than likely one of my political opponents, is out to make a name for himself."

MacArthur went on to say, although few specific details of the stepped up security can be disclosed for obvious reasons, he no longer travels alone, adding that the size and strength of his personal protection detail has increased significantly.

Before boarding the corporate jet, we noticed a heavily visible presence all around the tarmac. Pictured are additional elements of the new security force and MACARTHUR 1, the company's primary corporate jet reserved exclusively for transporting A.F. James MacArthur
